Fantastic new resources

Being a relief teacher, I love hands on activities that my students enjoy doing and that really teach the concept. These three products are ones I have used on a few occasions with great success. They are not only for relief teaching and the students love them.

Sight word fishing is a game where students literally 'fish' for Dolch sight words. I have found my boys are particularly partial to this game! You can find it for free here

For Kindergarten and Grade One
 



The next product is one I use for spelling and word work. These 20 task cards are fantastic for literacy centres and the students learn about the words, what kind of words they are and definitions, rather than simply learning to spell them correctly. You can grab these here

 



 

This last resource is possibly my favourite activity to do with my classess. It's a classroom shop but with five different shops. The students absolutely ADORE this activity, and while you do have to provide some of the shop products, the learning that goes on during this activity is fantastic. Students are learning and revising their basic math strategies and are learning in an authentic, real life situation giving them valuable life skills. You can find this product here.
