Back to School!!!

Here in Australia, we start the new school year tomorrow :) It's my first year with my own class and I was lucky enough to be given a brand new classroom! The catch? We couldn't actually get into our classroom until the Friday afternoon before term, which also happened to be the Australia Day long weekend. So I spent the weekend in my room getting as much up as possible so that my little bunch of kiddies would actually have a semi decent room to walk into. So here are some preview pics, the room is not nearly finished and I forgot to turn the lights on before taking the pics (rookie mistake!) so the pics are terrible quality but I'm too excited not to share!!

This is the Maths bulletin board which also has my morning work board. I plan to put up all my vocab words and anchor charts on here.

This is the half of the whiteboard that actually has something on it! It's got a fantastic Owl themed calendar, magical words of the week and my super cute train that I haven't figured out what to use for yet. Our IWB is on wheels which is amazing!

This is the unfinished CAFE and English bulletin board. The cute Who? What? cloud signs are from paperzip.co.uk. 

This is my little writing centre which faces the English bulletin board. We have a fantastic whiteboard desk that will be in that space so I can pull strategy groups or it's just a great space for Work on Writing. 

This is my library! By far my favourite part of the room, I plan on adding chairs and I have a  ton of cushions to go into here. 

These are the bucket filling boards (I haven't put up the lettering yet) and lastly this my great storage area which is in desperate need of more storage boxes!
