Student Goals

At my school, we have a big focus on Goals For Learning. Students write a specific goal for literacy, numeracy and a personal goal, and then we help the student identify what steps to take to achieve this goal. We have  separate reading goals, which are very specific.

We review the goals every 5 weeks (well that's what's expected so we will see how we go!) and see how well the students are progressing towards achieving their goal. Our classroom is Harry Potter themed and displaying the goals is very important. Here are our goals! (Personal goals are not up yet)

The adorable potion bottles are from Twinkl. And here are our reading goals (Not all up!)

They look absolutely fantastic in our room! The students are loving the theme :) We are finishing up our measurement unit and today looked at comparative language in preparation for our assessment tomorrow. We made cute flower graphic organisers from Shelley Grey's absolutely AMAZING interactive notebook template product which you can find here. By far one of the best resources I have ever purchased from TpT. Her interactive homework notebooks are also amazing. Here's how they turned out!

Underneath the flaps students wrote the opposite measurement, for example, under 'Taller' they wrote 'smaller.'

Last week we celebrated reaching 8 CAFE reading strategies on our CAFE board, so of course, we held a high tea party as you do! Instead of tea we drank chocolate milk and the students absolutely LOVED their high tea!
That's all for now :)
