The biggest question I had when I first started relief teaching was what resources to take to school in case the teacher hadn't had a chance to leave any work. I stressed myself out so much that I was taking 2 big bags to school every day. It was becoming a problem! So, while teachers may disagree with my list of topics to teach (Please comment with your suggestions!), these are the topics I stick to as I believe all students need to revise these topics regularly. Let's nail these basics!
Maths
* Basic facts - Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
* Fractions
* Place Value
* Maps and graphs
English
* Comprehension
* Grammar
* Creative writing
* Modelled reading
Everything else..
* Social skills
* Art
* Outdoor games
Whilst I love science and HSIE, unfortunately they are really to plan for and pull off when your not able to plan for a specific class :(
