There are literally thousands and thousands of resources out there (Just take a look at Teacher Pay Teachers!) and I have found it to be quite overwhelming when deciding which resources to use or purchase. The following resources are all ones that I have love and have used in the classroom with success. As a relief teacher, it is not often I get to teach my own lessons, but when I do, I like to use structured engaging resources that are student-centred. I believe my role is facilitate learning.
Here are my favourites;
1. The Marvelous Multiplication pack from Amy Lemons (Step into second grade). This unit of work is fantastic!! My Yr 2 class made the array mushrooms and they looked fantastic. Another teacher at the school also did the same lesson with her Yr 1 class with great results.
2. Creating interactive 3-D graphs from Runde's Room. This is so much fun and the students had a ball making these. They even commented "It doesn't feel like maths!"
3. Multiplication Board Games. These are fantastic for group work and math rotations. Just laminate them and keep for years!
4. Fast Finisher Art Activities. These are seriously FANTASTIC!! I love promoting creativity and really believe there needs to be more art in schools, so these fast finisher activities are really fun and stimulating.
5. Critical Thinking Cards by Rachel Lynette. These are excellent for in between activities and 15 minute time fillers. They really challenge students' thinking and promote creativity.
All of these products are from TpT and I may be a little addicted. Its so inspiring to see what other teachers are doing in their classrooms.
