A new start :)

It has literally been 8 months since my last post and wow have things changed!!! I've had my beautiful son Harry who is now almost 4 months old and since I can't bear the thought of leaving his side, I have decided to open my own family day care! So this blog will now change from being about my primary classroom to my own little classroom at home with 4 gorgeous youngsters.

When I first initially thought about family day care, I naturally turned to google to see what others were doing and how the process actually worked. I found a few things but not really what I was looking for, so this blog is going to start from the beginning, which is where we are right now. So far, we've had two home visits so we are looking to open in a few weeks. Now that we have approval to go ahead, it's the fun part where I actually get to set up my house!!!

We have quite a large house for just the three of us (and our beloved cat Barry) so we are fortunate that we are to use the front family room and bedroom as the main areas. We also have a little foyer for the sign in area. So here are some 'Before' pics...

 Being a bit of a perfectionist, I have BIG plans for what I want my spaces to look like including AstroTurf, a reading teepee, fairy garden and more. I can't wait to set everything up and share the after photos.
