Needless to say I have no time to blog or answer emails so I apologise! Anywoo, here is some things we have been up to over the last 4 weeks.
We have been learning about the states of Australia, continents and mapping in Geography so far. Since we can only fit in half an hour lessons while we are busy assessing for reports, we have been doing rotations. One group works on states, one on continents and the last on graphing. The states and continents are completely student friendly and they explore hands on items to assist their learning. I work with the mapping group and there are about 7 students in each group.
To make this unit fun I've used large vinyl world maps showing the continents, foam puzzles of the states of Australia and a fun treasure map for mapping. All these activities will soon be available on TpT.
We are learning about fractions this week and I once again used my 'Fractions Pizzeria' unit. Student were given an order sheet and had to make up their pizza according to the order. The kids LOVED this activity and today we delved further into this unit but I forgot to take photos so will post more tomorrow

So a quick one today, but promise I'll be back for good now. Have a great week!
